Tiong inspects damaged roads receiving wild complaints.

 




Bintulu: Member of Parliament for Bintulu Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing JP visited numerous roads today following by numerous complaints received over the damaged condition which needed to be retarseal or reconstructed urgently. 

Summary of areas visited by Bintulu MP Dato Seri Tiong King Sing on November 12, 2011 are: 

  • 1. Parkcity Commercial Square Phase IV which in front of a cafeteria shop-lot name “Buenas”. The unsealed road is believed as results from installation of undergrad communication cable by contractor. 
  • 2. Stretches of road in front of the entrance access to YTD garden (Jalan Tun Hussein Onn). Complainants reveal to Tiong that the damage of road has been causing numerous road mishaps, including chained accidents. The contractor was said from Kuching and left the road unsealed after the installation of underground sewage discharge outlet. Up to date, the re-tarseal portion was comment as rush done and uneven. 
  • 3. T-junction entrance to Taman Putra, mile 5, Jalan Tun Hussein Onn which near to Shell Station. Complainants said the damaged of entrance road access to the residential area believed to be done by digging of underground cables, whereby the resealing works had been done in rush. A few residents also requested Tiong to forward their wish of building up a few speed bumps in the area as over speeding of some road users frequently noted.
  • 4. Entrant road leading to Taman Bandar Jaya: Both stretch of road and drainage system at the T-junction damaged by the irresponsible contractors after the project of installing underground cable. Some portion of damage road posing a 90 degree sharp angle to passing vehicle, causing damages to their vehicle. 
  • 5. T-junction road access to SJK Sibiew and Taman Putra Phase II: siltation of road noted as a result of traffic flow of heavy vehicle for housing development activity. Local residents request the road to be re-tarseal. The road divider opposite the T-junction entrance also has been using as risk-route for illegal U-turn as the level of said divider has been same to the road level after siltation. 
  • 6. Traffic lights area at KM 12 Bintulu-Kidurong road: Road surface in the traffic area complained to be poor with lots of potholes and needed re-surfacing of tar. 
  • 7. T-Junction access to Daiken or Kidurong Industrial Estate (15.6KM): Potholes and resurfacing works urged to be done. Opposite the junction, the road has been using for illegal U-turn although a road sign erected.
  • 8. Two speed-bumps at Kampong Sibiew in front of Bangunan Hamzah: Local residents urged to reduce the height of bumps.
