“Computer illiterate parents may shock after learning website that they’ve browsed or game, video clip, pictures which they have downloaded may contents absence, violent or misleading elements”

The Member of Parliament for P217 Bintulu Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing stressed in his speech before the launching ceremony for the First Annual Sports Day of SJB Chung Hua’s sister school, revealing that availability of information technology devices  such as hand phone, computer were seem to expedite the maturity age of present youth, or even primary students. 

He was shock to learn from parents that daily logging to web-based societies had become daily routine of their children who is merely at primary two or three. 

“To me, Information Technology is a double-blaze sword, whereby when it is use positively for knowledge searching, it become an net tutors, assisting our children to grasp extra knowledge with multimedia supports”

“On the other hand, those fail to discipline themselves well may indulge in what we afraid most for all sorts of bad influences, particularly children or teenagers who still need parental guidance” 

He said certain parents would be stunned if giving chances to see what their children entries that full of fault mouths, privacy element in web community at such a young age. 

Tiong also urged parents to cope themselves with at least very basic knowledge of computer, at least they could know, monitor or being communicative with their children. 

Meanwhile, he also partially shared his daily routine as a child in farming family, whereby he had to deliver poultry eggs by 5am in the morning and assisting his parents with siblings for house core such as poultry feeding under the hot sun, even the whole day. 

However, it has been a common scene that we see children collapse merely one or two hours under the hot sun, adding that regular exercise or letting their children to undergo certain hardship in life was vital to the healthy growth too. 

As such, they would only learn to appreciate what they were overjoyed by granted so far, he stressed. 

He revealed too in his address that members of certain gansterism influences had started to flex their muscle into local school, whereby teacher was threatened but decided not to lodge a report at the end. 

“If teacher choose to be victimized silently too, what about other students in the school”

He also gave stern warning for students or members involving in the gangsterism, assuring that deterrent action would certainly taken if reports lodged against them.
