Tiong Challenges Tike Lafe to open the Minutes of Supreme Council Meeting

BINTULU: Referring to the statement by the Vice Chairman of SPDP Datuk Tike Lafe, a member of Group of Eights ushering merging agenda with PRS openly, Treasurer General of the party Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing challenged Tike to open the minute and attendant list of Supreme Council meeting.

“If Tike refused to believe who in fact strongly against the merging, he was most welcome to take the challenge and be it made known to the party members, rakyat of Mas Gading to see who is telling lies” said Tiong.

While question by Tike that he was even not a member of Merging Committee led by Datuk Peter Nyarok, Tiong explained that why attendant list of Supreme Council become crucial and aforesaid matter had been reported a few time by the committee to the council.

It shown that only those fail to attend the meeting would ask such a question, he stressed.

Tiong was answering to members of press during his Chinese New Year visiting to NGOs leaders at Miri, he further hinted that there were two members from the “Group of Eight” had been strongly against the merging.

He was surprised why Tike did not ask his counterpart in the group especially Datuk Peter Nansian whereby both were well known for their “bad relationship” even since last State General Election.

Both had been described even did not see eye to eye at public occasion or during the meeting, he revealed.

Although my attendance of Supreme Council was less, I believed Tike attendance could be described as worst.

As Tike describe movement of merging was aimed to strengthen the party force, Tiong further disclosing that who once strongly against a proposal to introduce SPDP to Peninsular, stepping towards as one of the national parties?

“At least 6 or 7 members excluding Tike who again failed to attend the meeting from the group of eight against it, stressing that they were satisfied to remain as small but united small party in the State!”

“To have a post either in federal or state cabinet shall not be a personal agenda to encourage one to join the party or politic, we can serve well with dedication, sincerity under the party flag as well even without position”, he was responding to what claimed by Tike that merging would gaining BN force in fighting against the opposition.

“To us as BN politician, our key efforts shall be to equip ourselves well to serve well the people, nation and country from time to time, rectifying our mistake by heeding voices from Rakyat, not wasting our time in tackling numerous issue purposely bright up by opposition ”

“A great downfall of certain national parties shall be our reflective mirror”

He said one should be grateful if he or she was offered an official or ministerial post under the party’s blessing, reminding party members should remember well that who had shown their discontentment once knew they were given the party position that not in their favour,  even refuse to attend or even walk out from party meeting?

Be grateful to the bridge that had bridged you through the trouble waters, never forget that you might have eaten by hidden crocodiles in the river, Tiong stressed.

Tiong also remind that if one forced to expose all in public, he might afraid it may cause great dismay to somebody in coming election.

He also warned certain leaders from component party should stop to manipulate a minor group of SPDP leaders, treating the party as one of its remote puppet.

“When time arises, I will expose the name of these leaders as well as what their final ambitious motive behind, if I was forced to”

He also reminded the group of eight stop to use the matter of legal registered address of party headquarter whereby Rigistrar of Societies had been official informed about the change of aforesaid address, assured by Slyvester Entrie in previous Supreme Council meeting.

He urged the group should go back to their constituencies, starting to work hard for the coming election and be sure all the promises had been delivered to rakyat.

“Nobody shall be over confidence as contest under the BN ticket may not ensure your victory”
