| BINTULU: The plight of a 52-year-old policeman
who suffered from a stroke since May this year had came to the attention
of Bintulu Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.
On Thursday, Tiong donated RM2,000 to L/Kpl
Sapuan Diari and the amount was presented by the former's political secretary,
Zaiedy Nor Abu Nasir.
In presenting the donation, Zaiedy extended
the MP's wish for speedy recovery of Sapuan and the amount contributed
was meant to cover part of the latter's on-going treatment.
Bintulu Marine Police Deputy Commander,
ASP Mohd Nazari Ismail, SPDP Jepak Division Chairman, Rayong Bayak and
Kidurong Division Secretary, Jacky Chan Jet Hui were among those witnessing
the ceremony.
According to Mohd Nazari, Sapuan had been
attached with the police since 1972 and had been described as a dedicated
staff and hardworking before he got the stroke.
"In fact, he had been our specialist outboard
engine operator at our Marine Base here and we hope that he could recover
fast," he added.
