Bintulu Dato Seri Tiong King Sing expressed over the abduction of a Chinese
woman from People’s Republic of China earlier this week .
He urged the Bintulu police to thoroughly investigating the case least the latest incident involving a Chinese national would tarnish the image of Malaysia and resulting the loss of confidence of tourists coming to visiting the country. Police earlier confirming one 21-year-old woman from China was abducted by three men unkown to her on 3rd December. while walking alone on the road. In Bintulu. brought her to a place where they confined her in a room. The trio also
took away from her the Passport, the air-ticket and cash RM830.
Tiong made the comment through the telephone interview from Kuala Lumpur yesterday afternoon. Meanwhile, Tiong also reminded those Chinese nationals to abiding the laws and regulations of Malaysia when they were coming either for social visit or business trip. “You have to follow the procedures even if you intend to do your investment or for business purpose as you are required to get permits from the relevant authorities,” he added. He said those coming here with social visit pass should not abuse it by working as Guests Relation Officer (GRO) at karaoke lounges or nightclubs or, doing door-to-door selling merchandises. Tiong also cautioned proprietors not to employ those female tourists from China to work as GROs at their business premises. |
