| Bintulu, Saturday: The Deputy Speaker of State Legislative Council
Dr. Judson Sakai Tagal said the people of Bintulu should be graceful to
have a caring Member of Parliament (MP) Dato' Seri Tiong King Sing for
his enormous contribution in the education of multiracial societies in
the constituency, both in town or rural areas.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 3 units of new buildings of Saint Anthony Kindergarten this morning on behalf of the MP, Judson described Tiong is always firmly firmly and unequivocably committed to development all streams of education in the constituency, as responding to the government's educational policy. Tiong, he said was the main donator of the new RM150,000 building as a replacement of two units of temporary wooden block which was razed to the ground in a fire tragedy on April 16 last year. However, Judson also extended his appreciation to the joint efforts of Bintulu SNAP Youth and its Executive Committee (EXCO) to enable the new building with its up-graded infrastructure to be ready after a year. Also the State Chairman of SNAP Youth Wing cum state assemblymen for N62 Ba Kelalan, he also stressed that the importance of kintengarden education as a familiarization gate of children before primary shcool. As a kintengarten which about 90 percent of its students were natives, Judson also impressed by the shcool children performance after an entertaining programme in various languages media such as Madarin that proven the kintengarten's effort to enhance the mutual understanding of student from multiracial background. Meanwhile, rev. sister Anna Celestine Ho on behalf of the shcool management board also extended her heartfelt thanks to Tiong King Sing generous contribution to the kintengarten. Beside the 3 new units of classroom, she said Tiong also had donated the furniture to the shcool and other extension project.
