Bintulu, Friday: "As a leader of government, she or he should always ensures the interests of the people irrespective of their race, religion, origin in our multi-racial society," said the member of Parliament for P190 Bintulu Dato' Seri Tiong King Sing.

He said, it was easy to blame a leader for not performing if one disastified of their request could not be materialized in a short of time. 

However, he said no government in the world is able to bring development to its people within a short period of time even governments of advanced countries in the West.

Tiong said this when meeting with the people of Rumah Bunsu ak Muyang, Mile 25, Bintulu-Miri road at the dialogues session organized by the Speical Affair Department of Information Department here recently. 

Thus, he said the government is always ensured the inculcation of awareness of racial equality, mutual tolerance and accommodation, and mutuality of interest of all communities in parallel with the the state development policy so that no one wil be left out in the arena of development.

He said, only BN government is able to uplift the basic infrastructures and amenities of rural area via various development scheme, urging them to render their supports to the BN's canditates in coming State General Election.

However, he also stressed the importance of self-dependibility, self-reliance and knowledgealbe  would the key of sucess in this century. Therefore, he urged the parents from rural communities should resolve to all means to encourage their children to pursue higher studies, as well as to grab any opportunities providing by government under numerous development schemes.

During the dialogue session, he also advised the people not to misuse or over-dependent on government's subsidies with attitude of taking it for granted as a way to generate more income for the families, following a complaint received by the people there, accusing a government agencies did not fulfill its promise to help the poor through its agriculture schemes.

He also urged the leaders of their community to be pro-active or be sensitive to the peoples' needs, fulfilling their promises to voice out the problem of people as a bridge between government and people via proper channel.

Tiong also expressed his worried over the increasing trend of longhouse youths' involvement in various crime related activities for fast-money such as theft of car which was masterminded by Chinese syndicate.

He said numerous appeals had been received through the MP's Service Centre, seeking the MP's assistance to release their children from remand from the parents of longhouse.
 
Tiong said he was sorry that he couldn't do so as no one can escape from the long arm of laws.

Earlier, the state assemblyman for N53 Kidurong Michael Sim Khiam Hui also urged the people to treasure and be graceful to the BN  governemtn that always looks after the welfare and well-being of the poeple.

Sim said we had witnessed numerous achievement or breakthrough in State's development that benefitted all Sarawakians since the commencement of Development Politics leading by the Chief Minister.
