| Bintulu, Monday: Datuk Celestine Ujang anak Jilan urged the parenets
of Dayaks community in the State should by all means to encourage their
children to pursue higher education or at least tertiary education.
He said the Dayaks community in the state should prepared themselves to merge into the new informative millenium as knowledgeable and skillful group would be among the determining factor as one would like to achieve greater sucess. By doing this, Datuk Celstine Ujang who is also the Housing Minister said the Dayaks not only helping their community but also contribute to the overall progress of the country or Sarawak. He stressed this at a Grand Millinium Gawai Celebration held at Rh. Michael Lanyau on the gawai festival eve last Wednesday. As the State Assemblyman for N52 Kemena, he said the people in the constituency should be graceful to the State Government leading by the Chief Minister, following a lot of projects especially infrastructure development were brought to the constituency to uplift the standard ofliving of rural community. Up to date, Datuk Ujang said most of the longhouses around the Sebauh town were acessable by road and electrical supplies. The road if used properly would bring more prosperity to the longhouses
