| Bintulu, Saturday:
The member of parliament for Bintulu Tiong King Sing had warned those responsible
to cause for the first anthrax scare reported last Friday in Bintulu to
stop the prank.
He said, there have been
many cases in the country where the authories were called in to investigate
suspicious letter but none proven to have contain any anthrax bacteria.
As such, he urged the
people here not to be over-reacting and panicked, responding to a few calls
received yesterday following the news of an American Health Co-ordinator
received a letter contained powdery substances two days ago in local printed
media.
Nevertheless, he advised
the members of public to be vigilant if they received any suspecious letter.
He said, they should immediately informed the authorities concerned such
as police, fire and rescues department or health department.
Meanwhile, he also urged
those involved in the pranks to stop because it had caused the authorities
to waste a lot of time and money in investigating, adding that they might
arrested under the Internal Security Act if caught. |
