Discover More Attractive Place of Sarawak
BINTULU, Tues.-Bintulu Adventure Club was officially launched here last Saturday.

Member of Parliament for Bintulu, Dato' Seri Tiong King Sing was invited to officiate at the function held at Kidurong Club here. As Tiong was committed at the Sanggang by-election, he was represented by his personal assistant, Cikgu H.P. Teo.

In his speech, Dato' Seri Tiong said that the formation of the Bintulu Adventure Club is timely as there are so many places of attraction in Malaysia, particularly in Sarawak to be discovered.

Some of the examples are Pulau Langkawai, Mount Kinabalu, Mount Mulu etc., he said.

He hoped that with the formation of such club it will promote and help to develop more interesting places for tourists.

"Tourism is a very important sectors that will bring in foreign currency and at the same time helping our economy to recover", he added.

Therefore, Tiong hoped that the club will work very closely with the Ministry of Tourism to promote Sarawak to the world.

The inaugural chairman of the club was Salleh Abdul Rahman, youth and sports officer for Bintulu.
