| BINTULU, Mon.-A few thousands people thronged the Chinese New Year gathering organised by Member of Parliament for Bintulu Dato' Tiong King Sing at the Civic Centre here yesterday. Among the invited guests were Minister for Housing Datuk Celestine Ujang, State Assemblyman for Jepak, Haji Talib Zulpilip, local prominent businessman Datuk Yek Min Ek, Resident of Bintulu Mr Abdullah Chek Sahamat, Bintulu District Officer, Mr John Gotte, various community leaders, heads of government departments and private firms, members of various associations and the general public. The Sarawak National Party (SNAP) Bintulu branch's lion dance troupe also performed at the gathering. | |
