01/12/1999:SNAP Bintulu to Recruit More Members

BINTULU, Wed.-Sarawak National Party (SNAP) Bintulu is going to recruit more members in order to strengthen the party and to provide better services to the people in the constituency.

Treasurer-general of SNAP, Dato' Tiong King Sing, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Bintulu said that SNAP members, especially women and senior members have proven their ability in working closely together with the BN component parties to wrest  back the seat from the opposition in the just concluded Parliamentary election.

Speaking at the "thank you" dinner at Li Hua Hotel here last night, Tiong said that victory here means a long way for him  to fullfil his pledges and to serve the people here.

He thanked all the BN election working committee for their hardwork in wresting back the seat.

Dato' Tiong King Sing has pointed out that this was the BN spirit of unity, cooperation and teamwork.

He hoped that such spirit will be performed in serving the people here.

For the rural areas, Tiong added that more developments should be implemented to uplift the living standard of the people.

Deputy chairman of PBB Kemena, Dr Stephen Rundi on behalf of Datuk Celestine Ujang thanked every one for their assistant in the election.

He said that the victory of BN at Bintulu Parliamentary seat has proven that BN could excelled and overcomed the most difficult tasks if they are united and work together as a team.
