| Bintulu, Thurs.-Treasurer-general of Sarawak National Party (SNAP), Datuk Tiong King Sing warned a small group of party members here to stop mongering rumours on him and the party. He said such inresponsible actions will going to damage the party. At a press conference after a dialogue session with the Chinese Associations at a leading hotel here last night, Datuk Tiong urged those minor group of Bintulu SNAP party members to stop spreading rumours before he would brought the matters up to the party central executive committee for further action. He said members should move on the party interests and not to go for personal agenda. He disclosed that some members have went to the extend that they misused the party secretary-general's name, Mr Justine Jinggut to "This was a serious matters and it has to be stopped immediately", he said. Earlier, Datuk Tiong who has apponited by the party to look after the P190 Bintulu Parliamentary election committeehas held a dialogue session with representatives from 7 social organisations here that night. In the meeting, Tiong has promised to bring up several issues related to Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) to the general manager of BDA soon. He said they will discuss these matters with the authority and to find the best solutions to the problems. On another issue raised by a local contractor, Mr Bong Sze Chong that two foreign contractors of the big projects here have owed the local contractors amounting not less than RM60 million, Tiong has promised to bring the matter up to the Finance Ministry for solution. He has urged the local contractors to process their legal documents with their auditors and these documents will be forwarded to the ministry. On the bad road condition of Bintulu-Sebuah road, Tiong got to understand from the Public Work Department (JKR) that there was proposal to reconstruct the road as the present one is not fix for heavy vehicles. However, he has promised to pay a visit to the road and Sebauh town soon to understand the whole situation.
