TYT and entourage continue CNY visits

BINTULU: The Head of State, Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Mohammad Salahuddin and wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajah Nokiah arrived here yesterday for a one day visit to local Chinese community leaders and businessmen in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations.

After attending an Open House hosted by Treasurer General of Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP), Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing at the Civic Centre here.

Salahuddin and his entourage proceeded to visit local community leader Kapitan Dr Francis Toh at Taman Lee Hua.

The couple was accorded a warm welcome and lion dance performance.

His Excellency, accompanied by Tiong and Senator Pau as well as Minister of Social Development and Urbanisation, Datuk Seri William Mawan anak Ikom with a few heads of government departments then called on a prominent businessman, Thomas Ng and his family at Taman Pearl, Jalan Subiyu.
Later, TYT and his entourage visited President of Sarawak Lu Clan Associaiton, Loh Tiong Kee at the latter’s residence in Parkcity Commercial Square.
