| Kuala Lumpur:
A Deputy Minister’s reply on the beating of two press photographers during
nomination for the Permatang Pauh by-election recently caused an uproar
in the Dewan Rakyat here yesterday.
It was sparked off by a supplementary question from Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing (BN-Bintulu) who wanted to know who were responsible for the beating. Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wira Chor Chee Heung replied “according to the photopgrahers’ report, they were beaten up by members and supporters of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) or the opposition. |
